The Flavors of Vojvodina Festival is a multi-faceted event showcasing small food and drink producers from across Vojvodina, as well as restaurants that celebrate traditional Vojvodinian cuisine. The idea for the festival emerged from the need to present the rich heritage of various influences that have made Vojvodinian cuisine diverse and unique to those who appreciate good taste. Throughout history, the crossroads of East and West have intersected in this region, where many peoples found refuge, bringing their customs and habits. The blending of these influences with the local population and the fertile soil of the region gave birth to a unique Vojvodinian gastronomy and the reputation of excellent food. The Flavors of Vojvodina Festival aims to brand Vojvodina as a recognizable enogastronomic destination that attracts numerous tourists and enthusiasts of good food and drink, promoting small agricultural producers and popularizing typical Vojvodinian products.
This year, the Flavors of Vojvodina will feature over 100 exhibitors of local food and drinks, as well as restaurants preparing traditional Vojvodinian dishes such as goulash, perkelt, forest paprika stew, prebranac, and desserts like gomboce, strudels, and noodles with poppy seeds. Additionally, visitors can look forward to a rich musical program, ranging from traditional tamburica music to jazz and pop, as well as numerous culinary workshops and entertainment for the youngest guests. It’s no surprise that this festival is popular among all generations of visitors, who fill Limanski Park to capacity every year during the Flavors of Vojvodina.
