Exhibition "Positioning Program" by Đorđe Radović
Description
The first solo exhibition by Đorđe Radović, the "Positioning Program", at the Gallery of the Belgrade Youth Center encompasses themes related to collective memory and the persistence of remembering, but primarily dialogical forms of storytelling and positioning of the painting fabric where its need for creating works with an open end is observed.
Radović's writing rests on intergenre intertwining and (in)directness of boundaries, while the name of the exhibition points to the importance of preserving the found traces from the creation process which have an intensive mechanism and in which reality is broadly shaped. His exhibition is dominated by a dioramic mode of communication that requires the viewer to delve into the circular contemplation of nature, hence we can say that the artist enigmatically approached the selection and arrangement of all elements in his visual foundations, taking (un)familiar photographs as his own places of belonging and starting points for his work, in this case oil paintings and digital collages. (...) The harmonious scenes that we can see in his works carefully and poetically animate the viewer, allowing them to independently imagine about enduring values and landscapes in the autonomy of all the forms used from sincere internal laws. (...) Everything that the artist anticipates here in general visual perception and psychology is nothing but emphatic and sharp freedom, one that fully examines...
