The space of the museum from the late 19th century evokes the ambiance of the Parisian Hotel Ric, where the heroine of our drama lived and died. The spectator in this space is not just an observer but experiences the intimate world of Coco Chanel as an active participant. Two actresses bring to life the childhood, loves, struggles, desires, and aspirations of the complex personality that Chanel was. The character of Coco Chanel is presented as dual: just like the logo of her brand composed of one regular and one reversed Latin letter C, intersecting. The core of this drama represents a confrontation of an individual with oneself, with the past, truth and lies, with what we think is true, confronting endless loneliness and lost love. In a time of great world turmoil, wars, revolutions, fights for social equality, Chanel liberated women from corsets, shortened dresses, and high heels – so that women could work and decide their own destiny. This piece is both about loneliness and the eternal quest for love.
