Detequiz «Fifteen Winters»

Detequiz «Fifteen Winters»

Karaganda. Frost, coal dust on the snow, the outskirts where snowdrifts stay until April. The man who was found by the garages was neither searched for nor mourned: they looked, sighed, and filed the paperwork.

And then the expert spoke one sentence — and a case expected to take half an hour stopped being that, because the morgue had been late for this man by more than a year.

All the while the city kept living: changing signs, burying people, raising toasts, settling debts. And in each of those fifteen winters someone in it knew something the others did not.

«Fifteen Winters» - a detective investigation by Detequiz: a post-Soviet noir in five rounds, voices, protocols and papers of an era when everything was decided not by law. The nineties haven’t gone anywhere — they were just waiting for the thaw.
