❗On Monday, December 23rd at 7:00 PM, the Exhibition of Small Prints First 75 opens at the Gallery of the Graphic Collective, where the Little Seal award is awarded for the best achievement in the field of small format graphics. In the year of its jubilee, the 75th birthday, this Collective continues part of the program under the sign Tradition for the Future. Since the founders of the Graphic Collective, in the 1950s, have been organizing sales exhibitions of graphics during the New Year holidays, thus mitigating the dominance of stereotypical kitsch versions of cards by housewives and chimney-sweeps on the market. The idea of artists gathered around the Graphic Collective (and their continuity) to bring original artistic work into every home and as a suitable gift to animate, delight, educate, and nurture new audiences, follows the eighth decade of new editions of exhibitions of Small Graphic Forms. Over time, this chamber exhibition has become, in addition to the May exhibition, a significant point for the presentation of the actual reach of contemporary graphic production and an opportunity for its critical consideration. The title of the exhibition text: 'For your home and those you love (and) in the new millennium. Because, graphics is also a school of art/life but also a fluid space of spirit shielded from the bustle of busy times.' touches on the identity and conceptual idea of this work.

The atmosphere of the new edition of the Exhibition of Small Prints also reflects a high concentration of manuscripts from different poetic backgrounds; alongside the bards of our contemporary scene (born in 1949) who maintain the tension of the exhibition, new authorial phenomena of the young (born in the new millennium) certainly renew its creative vitality. The catalog also contains sentences from the youngest participants, one of the entries: 'the artist's (small) world is much larger than the edges of that paper,' testifies to the creative essence of the idea.
