Solo Concert: Bosko Jovic, Clarinet

Join us for a solo concert by young clarinetist, Bosko Jovic, on Tuesday, November 5 at the Cultural Station Silara, starting at 19:30.

The repertoire will include pieces by Grgin, Poulenc, Messiaen, Skalovski, Horovitz, and Semler-Kolerija.

Bosko will be accompanied on the piano by Dusko Svonja, Prof.

His passion for music began at the age of six when he started learning the guitar at the music school 'Cultural Shelter' in the class of Danilo Shajnovic. He has had numerous performances and has been exposed to various musical genres. In the fifth grade of elementary school, he enrolled in the primary music school 'Isidor Bajic' and chose to specialize in the clarinet under the guidance of Prof. Zeljko Bodor. He continued this collaboration in high school and later switched to the class of Prof. Djura Petea, with whom he continued to progress and achieve impressive results.

Bosko Jovic is a double laureate of the Republican Competition of students from music and ballet schools of Serbia in 2022 and 2024. In addition to these, he has achieved other very valuable successes:

First prize and special award for the overall winner of the 'Sirmium music fest' competition in Sremska Mitrovica in 2023 and 2024.

Double laureate at the 'Zemun International music fest' competition in 2023 and 2024.

Laureate at the 'Isidor Bajic' festival in Novi Sad in 2023 and 2024, as well as at the 'Femus' festival in Subotica in 2024.

A major success was reaching the final round of the prestigious international competition 'Sava Dimitrov' (Sofia, Bulgaria) in 2023.

In addition to solo performances, he has achieved significant success playing in chamber ensembles.

During his education, he attended various master classes and worked with professors such as: Aleksandar Tasic, Radovan Cavallin, Davor Reba, Stepan Vermesh, Joze Kotar, Arkadiusz Adamski, Gabor Varga, Emil Visentiu, Ilian Iliev, Petr Vasek, and many others. He is a recipient of the scholarships for gifted talents of Serbia for the third consecutive year, as well as the Vidovdan and provincial awards.
