Exhibition "Nature of Distortion"
Description
The structure of reality is subject to constant changes, with transformations often passing through complex, nonlinear flows. The inevitable distortion that appears in these processes is not only destructive but becomes a means of reexamining and reshaping established norms. Errors and uncertainty often become the entry point for analysis and the discovery of new meanings.
The exhibition stemmed from an online workshop led by Olga Matveeva. Over the course of four months, participants explored the phenomenon of distortion not only as a destructive force but also as a way to uncover new perspectives in understanding external processes and the inner world. Artists explore this phenomenon through technological errors, bodily processes, and the limits of perception of various phenomena.
