Renewing Meaning ▪︎ Shejma Fere, Sasa Stojanović, and Marija Tasić

Believing that artists and scientists must be a kind of constructive rebels seeking alternatives to the dominant order, in this exhibition Shejma Fere, Sasa Stojanović, and Marija Tasić aim to reexamine possible resistance strategies in current conditions of uncertainty and insecurity, and critically explore processes of knowledge production and the transformative power of art. The gallery space ceases to be a mere place of representation and becomes an environment resembling a laboratory or classroom, where mediation is simultaneously carried out by both the authors and visitors.

The foundation of the dialogue, or the meeting point of these three authors, is the current ecological problems, which are a direct consequence of capitalist production. Therefore, Renewing Meaning insists on a return to basic humanity through encounters, collective experiments, mutual education, and socializing.
