Graphic Collective

❗On Monday, December 23 at 7:00 PM, the Exhibition of Small Graphics First 75 will open at the Graphic Collective Gallery, where the Small Seal award for the best achievement in the field of small format graphics will be presented. In the year of its jubilee, the 75th birthday, this Collective continues a part of the program under the theme Tradition for the future. The founders of the Graphic Collective, in the 1950s, used to organize sales exhibitions of graphics during the New Year holidays to mitigate the dominance of stereotypical kitsch versions of greetings cards in the market. The ideas of the artists gathered around the Graphic Collective (and their continuity) that original artistic work enters every home and animates, delights, educates, and nurtures a new audience as a suitable gift, follow the eighth decade of new editions of Small graphics exhibitions. Over time, this chamber exhibition has become, alongside the May exhibition, a significant point for presenting the real scope of contemporary graphic production and an opportunity for its critical examination. The title of the exhibition text: 'For your home and those you love (and) in the new millennium. Because graphics are also a school of art/life but also a fluid space of spirit hidden from the hustle and bustle of busy times.', touches on the identity and conceptual concept of this work.

The atmosphere of the new edition of the Small Graphics exhibition is also reflected in the high concentration of manuscripts of various poetic references; in addition to the bards of our contemporary scene (born in 1949) who sustain the tension of the exhibition, new authorial manifestations of young people (born in the new millennium) certainly renew its creative vitality. Also included in the catalog are sentences from the youngest participants, and one of the records: 'an artist's (small) world is much larger than the edges of that paper', testifies to the creative essence of the idea.
