About the event

Art Comment is a series of events dedicated to the analysis and discussion of important theoretical works on contemporary art. The basis of the meeting is the book "Art since 1900", published by the Garage Museum and Ad Marginem publishing.

Meeting format

The organizers, together with the guests, will analyze the book step by step during the meetings.

Topic of the 10th meeting

• Chapters 19 and 20 — "1919" and "1920".
• The first part of the meeting will be dedicated to the anti-modernist reaction that arose in the second decade of the 20th century. Guests will see works by Picasso, but this time in a completely different manner.
• The second part will take guests to Berlin, where they will examine the landmark event "First Dada Fair". They will discuss the politicization of artistic practices and the technique of photomontage.
