Guitar Art Festival proudly presents the flamenco spectacle "Vientos del Eresma", which has gathered a new generation of young artists.

Grand Concert

The Spanish quintet will perform on February 26th at the Great Hall of the Belgrade Youth Center. Tickets at a unique price of 2,500 dinars are on sale at the Youth Center box office, via the eFinity sales network, and online.

Program and Artists

Audiences will have the opportunity to experience a musical journey from the south to the north of Spain with the talented voice of Sara Diaz, guitar master Dani Hernandez, the passionate dance of Lucia Gonzalez aka "La Flaca", Guillermo Navarro on percussion, and Sergio Rodriguez on saxophone and flute.

• This concert not only represents the recognizable Andalusian flamenco but also brings the audience closer to the music, landscapes, and traditions of Castile!
• The historical region of Castile is the heart of Spain. It is the homeland of Don Quixote and the site of abandoned medieval castles.
• A center that unites the tradition and heritage of both capitals of Spain, old and new – Toledo and Madrid.

Idea and Origin

The musical idea of connecting flamenco tradition with Castile stems from the artists' own origins, who, through the musical spectacle "Vientos del Eresma", demonstrate their personal emotional and cultural connections.

• Guitarist Dani Hernandez composed and designed the concert repertoire, which is completely based on flamenco, although it contains cultural references to Castile.
• Among the well-known flamenco forms, such as siguiriyas, alegrías, guajiras, verdiales, tarantas, bulerías, and tangos, one can notice melodic hints of traditional Castilian music.
• The influence of Agapito Marasuela, a musician and folklorist from Segovia, is also unmistakable.

Lyrics and Songs

The lyrics are a combination of original and popular songs, both flamenco and Castilian, combined with verses written by Antonio Machado. This flamenco quintet has achieved great success in Spain, performing at the 'Flamencura' festival in La Granja de San Ildefonso and 'Las Noches del Atrio' in Segovia.

Tradition and Mission

The Guitar Art Festival, in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain and the Cervantes Institute in Belgrade, continues its tradition and mission of over two decades of promoting the best young artists in Serbia and the region.

About the Artists

Daniel Hernandez

• Recognized as a talented guitarist of the new generation.
• He studied under various flamenco guitarists and in 2021 received a commendation at the Professional Music Conservatory Arturo Soria in Madrid.
• In addition to his academic education, he has taken classes with masters such as Manolo Sanlúcar, Pepe Habichuela, Josemi Carmona, José Antonio Rodríguez, and Jorge Pardo.
• He is currently working on recording his first album.

Sara Diaz

• Comes from a renowned artistic family; her father was a guitarist and her mother a singer.
• Sara graduated from the Flamenco Singing Department at the Royal Conservatory for Music 'Arturo Soria' in Madrid.
• Her career has developed through performances in flamenco tablaos, theaters, and grand stages such as the National Auditorium in Madrid and the Circo Price Theater.
• Sara is known for her performances in various music genres and has collaborated with artists including Paco del Pozo, Diego Carrasco, Carmen Linares, Tino Di Geraldo, Jerónimo Maya, Ricardo Fernández del Moral, and others.

Lucía González (La Flaca)

• A professional flamenco dancer who has achieved significant success in Spain and internationally.
• She has performed in numerous tablaos such as Teatro Flamenco Madrid, Tablao de La Villa, Tablao Sala 4 de Amor De Dios, and many others.
• She participated in the Flamencura festival in La Granja de San Ildefonso and as a member of the flamenco ensemble Quelañí.
• Her collaboration as a dancer with the group Hakuna stands out, with performances in the Wizink Center in Madrid.
• She is currently continuing her education at the Center for Flamenco Art and Spanish Dance 'Amor de Dios' in Madrid.

Guillermo Navarro

• Percussionist, cajón teacher, and instrument maker master.
• He continued his education with masters such as Israel Suárez 'Piraña', Lucky Losada, Rafael Santa Cruz, Eliseo Parra, and others.
• He has worked on projects of various styles: flamenco, folk, fusion; and performed on stages across Europe, America, and Africa, as well as at festivals like Suma Flamenca and Ellas Crean in Madrid, Awaln’Art in Marrakesh, Ciclo Mundo in Las Palmas, Burgo Jazz in La Coruña.
• He has played with Eliseo Parra, the La Camaradería group, José Luis Montón, the Pascal Gaone troupe, Bethencourt & Friends, and others.

Sergio Rodriguez

• He completed his professional music studies and moved to Belgium, where he graduated from the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, specializing in jazz flute (2017).
• Upon returning to Madrid, he earned a degree in modern music performance and specialized in saxophone at the University Alfonso X El Sabio.
• He has shared the stage and collaborated with artists such as Filo de Los Patios, Antonio Carrión, Guadiana, Mayte Maya, Israel Paz, Amelia Vega, Yeyé de Cádiz, El Mani, José Arenas, Marta Heredia, Jerónimo Maya, Los Tai Tabú, Flamenco Jazz Project, and many others.
• He is currently a professor at the authorized center for professional music education Tempo Musical in Madrid and collaborates on various projects of different musical styles.
