The prestigious Festival evropskog filma Palić will be held from July 18 to 22 at beautiful locations in Palić and Subotica. The German film "Ah, That Emptiness, That Dreadful Emptiness" directed by Simon Verhoeven opens this year's program. The gala screening is scheduled for July 18 at the iconic Letnja pozornica Palić.

"Ah, That Emptiness, That Dreadful Emptiness" (Ach, diese Lücke, diese entsetzliche Lücke, 2026) by Simon Verhoeven is a German tragicomedy and coming-of-age film based on the autobiographical bestseller by Joachim Meyerhoff.

It follows twenty-year-old Joachim, who enrolls in a prestigious acting school in Munich and moves in with his eccentric grandparents as he tries to find his own identity between art, family, and life's challenges.
