The Dream Dram Theater kicks off its sixth season with the premiere of “Bul-Buée: The Story of Kaya,” based on a play by Rita Kadatskaya
Kaya lives in the unusual town of Bul-Bue and is trying to figure out who she is, what she’s capable of, and why the world around her is the way it is. But sometimes the hardest part isn’t understanding yourself, but being heard by those around you.
This is a contemporary story for teenagers and their parents about growing up, family, misunderstandings, and the search for one’s identity—and a little bit about a fantastical world where familiar things may turn out to be quite different from what they seem.
