Busy Speaking Club

BUSY SPEAKING CLUB (09/06), Sunday, 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.

Welcome

Hi there! This is Ksenia and my conversation club for anxious souls🫣 Every Sunday we get together to use English for its intended purpose: to chat, debate, and joke around ☺️

This Sunday, against the backdrop of the scandal surrounding a certain course on medieval music (if you missed it all, here’s a brief summary and some thoughts on the topic), we’ll talk about popular science.

• 🔭 What standards should we hold experts to when they’re bringing the light of knowledge to the masses?
• 🔭 Is it okay to add a little imagination to dry facts so the audience doesn’t fall asleep?
• 🔭 Where exactly is the line between “serious” science and its popular version?

Class Schedule

Group B2-C1: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Group A2-B1: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

What to Expect from the Club

• opportunities to refine and enrich your speech,
• an atmosphere that feels like you’re hanging out with friends, but with a purpose,
• a clear and understandable structure with full moderation,
• a small group organized by language level,
• feedback from me.

About the Organizer

I, Ksenia Eremina, lead the meetings. I’m an experienced teacher, the creator and host of the Show Your Tongue podcast, and a three-time emigrant. This conversation club started with a desire to get out of the four walls and meet real people in person, but over the past 3 years, it has turned into a real community of the coolest people. Join us 😉 And don’t forget to subscribe to my Telegram channel: @busy_eng_fox
