Love Story

KPGT

LOVE STORY Love Story by Puriša Đorđević is a novel/play about the tragicomic destiny of a Yugoslav diplomat in the sixties. Worried that he might be blackmailed because of his sexual orientation and unwillingly betray his country, he shockingly refuses to go to Washington where he was offered a job as a consultant at the embassy. Kicked out of the party, the ministry, the capital, and his bed of opportunistic love affair, the state security transfers him to a rural school. As a teacher, he meets the students and their peculiar folk poetry, eccentric shepherds who use muffled languages when conversing with birds and sheep, as well as avant-garde rural 'beautiful mute girls' involved in conceptual art...Cast:
