Ekv: Children from the Water + Žika Todorović + Tanja JovićevićAfter the concerts that were sold out days in advance in November and February, the association Children from the Water invites you to Zappa Baza for a new concert where we will listen to songs by EKV and celebrate the 35th anniversary of the famous album "Just a Few Years for Us" on which, in addition to the title track, there are songs "Krug", "Srce", "Iznad grada", "Amerika", "Sinhro", etc. Special guests who will participate in the majority of the concert will be Srđan Žika Todorović (the drummer on that album) and Tanja Jovićević (backing vocals on the album).Žika, after the album "Ljubav", this was the second album he recorded with Milan, Magi, and Bojan, and that year they reached the peak of their popularity in their whole career. Žika left the band after the album and concert tour throughout the former Yugoslavia to pursue an acting career. The indelible mark that Žika left with his unique drumming style in the songs of EKV is still an inspiration to new generations of drummers, and the songs are like musical rock literature. We are immensely pleased that Žika is with us on stage for the third time in Belgrade in the last couple of months, and we can say that the concerts with him are pure emotion, magic, and positive energy in the space. At that time, EKV was at its peak when tickets for their concerts were in high demand, and it is the same today when Žika plays EKV songs again.Tanja Jovićević, at Milan's invitation and insistence, was a backing vocalist for EKV from 1989 to 1993, participating in the recording of songs on the albums "Just a Few Years for Us" and "Dum Dum" and performing with them on several tours. In a way, she was an associated member of EKV, and during that period, she actively sang in her band Oktobar 1864, for which she remained most famous. After that, she continued her solo career and sang with various bands, always cherishing the memories of the songs she recorded with Oktobar and EKV, which she gladly performed. After a little longer break, all EKV fans will have the opportunity to hear her live in Belgrade, and Tanja will evoke memories of that period before the concert.Children from the Water is an EKV tribute band and project that originated in Belgrade in 2015 with the idea of commemorating Milan Mladenović, EKV, and their opus through live concerts. One of the main features of this band is that it is the only active EKV tribute band identical to their former lineup. Aleksa Vučković plays the role of M.M., as vocals and guitar, Luna Škopelja on keyboards as once Margita, Lazar Ostojić on bass guitar, and Nikola Rajović on drums. All members of this band are experienced, trained, and top musicians involved in various other bands, and their common passion for EKV brought them together in this project. The repertoire includes all the greatest hits from all six studio albums of EKV plus their debut as Katarina II. The band is often referred to by the music and professional community as the best and most faithful to the original EKV tribute that has existed, aided by their collaboration with former EKV members who occasionally guest star at the concert: Srđan Žika Todorović (drummer 1987-90), Ivan Ranković Raka (drummer 1985-87), Bole Stanojević (bassist 1994), and Tanja Jovićević (backing vocal 1989-93).The concert will last over two and a half hours and will be a real treat for all EKV fans and a nostalgic journey into the past when Žika and Tanja shared the stage with Milan, Magi, and Bojan. Such a concert is unique, and it is recommended that everyone get their tickets in advance because our concerts with Žika are sold out days before the event.
