🥂 Sparkling Wine Tasting: 5 Countries, 5 Styles
Buy tickets or sign up
Description
This time we'll take an exciting journey through the world of sparkling wines.
We'll taste different styles from five countries and gradually work out how they differ from each other: from the light and playful frizzante — through Prosecco and Cava — to Crémant and Serbian pet nat.
Sparkling wines are not just “wine for celebrations.” Behind every glass are specific production methods, grape varieties, regions and completely different personalities.
At the tasting we will discuss
- ✔ what frizzante is and how it differs from classic sparkling wine
- ✔ the difference between Prosecco and Cava
- ✔ why aging on the lees plays an important role
- ✔ what pet nat is and why it has become popular
- ✔ how to choose a sparkling wine for different occasions
And, of course, we'll do a lot of tasting.
This time we'll have
- Frizzante from Hungary
- Prosecco from Italy
- Cava from Spain
- Crémant from France
- Serbia: pet nat
A total of 5 wines will be tasted.
This event is suitable for anyone who wants to better understand sparkling wines: to learn why some smell of apples and flowers, others of brioche and toasted bread, and others seem wild, natural and unfiltered.
