Portugal is one of those wine countries that cannot be understood by a single grape or a single region.
The Atlantic coast and the hot south, the volcanic soils of the Azores and the famous vineyards of the Douro, dozens of indigenous grape varieties β this time we'll explore very different sides of Portuguese winemaking.
On October 18 we meet at the tasting and set off on a journey through five Portuguese wine regions.
This time we'll try 6 wines from 5 regions: from sparkling and fresh whites to full-bodied reds β including a wine from the volcanic soils of the Azores and wines from rare indigenous varieties.
At the tasting we'll cover:

- βοΈ how the Atlantic influences local wine styles
- βοΈ which indigenous varieties are worth remembering
- βοΈ how climate and soils change a wine's character
- βοΈ how varied Portugal can be within a single tasting set
