Regaining Meaning ▪︎ Šejma Fere, Saša Stojanović and Marija Tasić

Believing that artists and scientists must be some kind of constructive rebels who search for alternatives to the dominant order, in this exhibition Šejma Fere, Saša Stojanović and Marija Tasić aim to reexamine possible resistance strategies in current conditions of uncertainty and insecurity, and to critically explore knowledge production processes and the transformative power of art. The gallery space ceases to be a mere place of representation and becomes an environment resembling a laboratory or classroom, where mediation is simultaneously carried out by both the authors and the visitors.

The focal point of the dialogue, or the meeting point of these three authors, is the current ecological problems, which are a direct consequence of capitalist production. Therefore, Regaining Meaning insists on a return to basic humanity through encounters, collective experiments, mutual education, and socializing.
