About the band

At the center of it all is the multi-Grammy award-winning percussion duo from Snarky Puppy: Robert "Sput" Searight and Nate Werth. The idea for their own project was born during improvised solo sets on tour and soon grew into a full-fledged band—less of a collective, more of a dedicated musical unit. They are joined by a collective of musicians who have collaborated with names like:

Genres and Influences

Ghost-Note pushes the boundaries of funk into the future, drawing on the pioneering foundations of James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone, while enriching the contemporary expression with elements of Afrobeat, hip-hop, psychedelia, and world folk music.

Live

Live, Ghost-Note delivers an even more intense experience. The concerts are direct and free of the formalities often associated with the band members' jazz roots. The focus is on the dance groove and an energy that blurs the line between the audience and the performers.

One thing is for sure: it will be, as Sput says, "positively and unapologetically funky."
