Description
JAZZ AROUND US 🎷
What is jazz?
You can spend a long time telling children about rhythm, swing and improvisation. Or you can simply start playing — and invite them to join in.
About the concert
At our new interactive concert we'll get to know jazz not only by listening to it.
-
🎵 We'll look for the rhythm and tap it out together with the musicians.
-
🎵 We'll learn how instruments can "talk" to each other without a single word.
-
🎵 We'll get to know them up close: find out how they're built, how sound is produced, and what role each one plays in a jazz ensemble.
-
🎵 We'll try repeating musical phrases and answering them with our own.
-
🎵 We'll hear how the same melody can sound slightly different each time.
-
🎵 We'll move, clap, imagine and improvise — and at some point we'll turn into a big jazz orchestra ourselves.
-
⭐️ And, of course, we'll listen to real live jazz performed by Artyom Yurovsky and Anna Levkovtseva.
Because jazz is music you can do more than just listen to — you can talk with it, play with it, and create something of your own right here and now.
Interactive part for children aged 3–8, and music for hearts of all ages.
Duration
The concert lasts 35 minutes + an introduction to the instruments.
