Film evening at Buratina bar with a film historian

On an autumn evening on the terrace of Buratina bar we'll watch one of the greatest thrillers in the history of cinema.

Format

• a short introductory lecture
• film screening
• discussion and analysis of selected scenes

Host — Aleksandra Sidorova, film historian.

The protagonist steals a large sum of money from her workplace and, in haste, flees the town. At a roadside motel she is met by Norman Bates — a young man tormented by the oppression of his domineering mother.

"Psycho" combines a tense, gripping plot with a perfectly calibrated form. The film has been widely quoted — from Brian De Palma thrillers to The Simpsons and Kikoriki.
