The word "nostalgia" comes from two Greek words: nóstos — return and álgos — pain. It's not only about the pain of parting, but also about the impossibility of returning. The eternal question: Is nostalgia about time or about place? Time itself is invisible. We only see its reflected light. Reflecting on this, I realized that I remember not so much events as the spaces in which they happened. As soon as the furniture layout, the wallpaper pattern, or the light from the window was restored — feelings returned with them.

This series gathers nine interiors through which my life flowed. Most of them are reconstructed from memory. The first is a copy of a drawing my father once made. The last is based on a photograph of a room I will never return to. They say: you have to grieve the loss, close the gestalt, lock the door, leave it in the past…
