Most people think that puppet theatre is necessarily children's theatre. But this is a big misconception! Puppet theatre is a theatre of metaphors. A metaphor is the foundation of action. A metaphor creates an image through associations, transferring the properties of one object to another based on their similarity — in form, action, content, volume, and so on. It is precisely this that allows the expression of ideas, actions, emotions, and meanings.

Metaphor allows puppet theatre to erase certain boundaries, which makes it more fantastic, unreal, mysterious, grotesque, and fairytale-like!
