• “Culture on the beautiful blue Danube”: from 25 June to 27 August, a true cultural summer will take place at Площадь Галерей in Novi Sad

• “Summer at Площадь Галерей” is an annual summer cultural festival organized by three art galleries — Галерея Павла Белянского, Галерея Матицы Сербской and Галерея Райко Мамузича — forming an important cultural hub of Novi Sad.

• All cultural events within the festival take place at Площадь Галерей and in the green garden-courtyards around the galleries. Площадь Галерей

• The festival theme changes each summer but is always related to culture and the arts.

Festival theme 2026 — “Culture on the beautiful blue Danube”

• This is a series of free summer events dedicated to the cultural, artistic and natural riches of Austria. The program covers visual, musical, performing and film arts and introduces Austrian art through lectures, films and concerts.

• Cultural and educational events will take place throughout the summer on Thursdays at 9:00 PM (starting 25 June). Admission to all events is free.

• The grand opening will be on 25 June at 9:00 PM and will begin with a performance by the Vienna-based music-theatre ensemble Synesthetic Project, composed of musicians, dancers, animators and video artists.

• 🎞️ Sleeping with the Tiger — 2 July — about the challenging path in the art world of Austrian artist Maria Lassnig.

• 🎞️ The Dreamers — 6 August — about the love and long correspondence between two outstanding Austrian poets of the 20th century, Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan.

• 🎵 The concert program will feature the string ensemble Dinamika Music in tandem with DJs — 13 August — performing classics with a modern twist.

• 🎵 Dance club Fiesta — 27 August with a presentation of waltzes and dances of the Viennese court.

• 📚 A variety of lectures and an intellectual quiz are also included in this year’s cultural program.
