• “Culture on the Beautiful Blue Danube”: from 25 June to 27 August, Gallery Square in Novi Sad will host a true cultural summer

• “Summer at Gallery Square” is an annual summer cultural festival organized by three art galleries — Pavle Beljanski Gallery, Matica Srpska Gallery and Rajko Mamuzić Gallery — forming an important cultural hub of Novi Sad.

• All cultural events within the festival take place on Gallery Square and in their green garden-courtyards. Gallery Square

• The festival theme changes every summer but is always connected to culture and the arts.

Festival theme 2026 — “Culture on the Beautiful Blue Danube”

• This is a series of free summer events dedicated to the cultural, artistic and natural riches of Austria. The program covers visual, musical, performing and film arts and introduces Austrian art through various lectures, films and concerts.

• Cultural and educational events will take place throughout the summer on Thursdays at 9:00 PM (starting 25 June). Admission to all events is free.

• The opening ceremony will take place on 25 June at 9:00 PM and will begin with a performance by the music-theater ensemble Synesthetic Project from Vienna, consisting of musicians, dancers, animators and videographers.

• 🎞️ Sleeping with the Tiger — 2 July — about the challenging journey in the art world of the Austrian artist Maria Lassnig.

• 🎞️ Dreamers — 6 August — about the love and decades-long correspondence between two prominent Austrian poets of the 20th century, Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan.

• 🎵 As part of the concert program, the string ensemble Dinamika Music in tandem with DJs will perform classical music in a contemporary style — 13 August.

• 🎵 Dance club Fiesta — 27 August with a presentation of waltzes and dances of the Viennese court.

• 📚 Various lectures and an intellectual quiz are also included in this year’s cultural program.
