• "Culture on the beautiful blue Danube": from 25 June to 27 August a true cultural summer will take place at the Galleries' Square of Novi Sad

• "Summer at the Galleries' Square" — an annual summer cultural festival organized by three art galleries — Pavle Beljanski Gallery, Matica Srpska Gallery and Raiko Mamuzic Gallery — forming an important cultural hub of Novi Sad.

• All cultural events within the festival take place at the Galleries' Square, as well as in their green garden-courtyards. Galleries' Square

• The festival theme changes every summer but is always connected to culture and the arts.

Festival theme 2026 — "Culture on the beautiful blue Danube"

• This is a series of free summer events dedicated to the cultural, artistic and natural treasures of Austria. The program covers visual, musical, performing and film arts and introduces Austrian art through various lectures, films and concerts.

• Cultural and educational events will take place throughout the summer on Thursdays at 21:00 (starting 25 June). Entry to all events is free.

• The ceremonial opening will take place on 25 June at 21:00 and will begin with a performance by the Vienna-based music-theatre ensemble Synesthetic Project, made up of musicians, dancers, animators and videographers.

• 🎞️ Sleeping with the Tiger — 2 July — about the challenging journey in the art world of Austrian artist Maria Lassnig.

• 🎞️ The Dreamers — 6 August — about the love and decades-long correspondence between two outstanding Austrian poets of the 20th century, Ingeborg Bachmann and Paul Celan.

• 🎵 As part of the concert program the string ensemble Dinamika Music will perform in tandem with DJs — 13 August — presenting classical music in a contemporary style.

• 🎵 Dance club Fiesta — 27 August — with a presentation of Viennese waltzes and court dances.

• 📚 Various lectures and an intellectual quiz are also included in this year’s cultural program.
