Linocut: Create Your First Original Print

Linocut — a printmaking technique where a form is created by hand and an image is printed from it. The process of making the printing plate and the impression is immersive and renewing.

In the workshop you will go through the entire process from idea to finished print

• choose and prepare a sketch;
• learn to transfer the image onto linoleum;
• master the tools and basic techniques;
• prepare the printing plate;
• hand-print your own small edition.

Other details

No prior experience required — just a desire to try. The workshop is suitable for everyone aged 16 and up.

Instructor — Svetlana Kopytina, artist, educator, and founder of the creative studio Nowadays in Belgrade.
