Masterclass in Stage Improvisation for Pairs
Description
Stage Improvisation in Pairs (Tuprov)
Stage improvisation in pairs, or Tuprov, is a format in which two actors can play an entire story and many different characters.
This is not a course, not an exam, and not an attempt to master long-form improvisation in three hours. It's an opportunity to try one interesting tool, play a lot, and get acquainted with Tuprov.
We'll cover the basics:
- how to quickly find a simple character;
- how to make characters distinct and recognizable;
- how to switch between them so the audience doesn't get confused;
- how to return to a character who has already appeared;
- how to use all of this in simple two-person formats.
There will be little theory. Most of the time will be exercises, scenes, experiments, and the relaxed opportunity to spend time in a new format.
Suitable for both those who already love stage improvisation and those who just want to try something new.
