We hereby inform you about the upcoming comedy play, entitled DESPERATE HOUSEWIFE, which will take place on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2025 starting at 8 p.m. at SVETOZAR MARKOVIĆ WORKERS' HALL in Novi Sad.

In the play written and directed by CVETIN ANIČIĆ, the main and only role is portrayed by actress JELICA BRESTOVAC.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIFE is a comedy that follows the life of a woman, a conscientious housewife, who makes a brave decision to change her monotonous life. Through humorous situations, she decides to explore different professions and prove her abilities beyond household chores.

Despite facing challenges and failures, her quest for meaning leads to the realization that, although society often neglects or fails to recognize her work, she as a housewife plays a crucial role in the development of family, society, and cultural norms.

The play is filled with humor and comedic situations, but it also carries a strong message about the importance of women as homemakers. A woman eager for life and social acceptance humorously explains how essential and valuable her work actually is.

Through this comedy, the audience is reminded that every role in society, however invisible it may seem, has its irreplaceable value.
