"Danube" is the story of the meeting of two worlds and two cultures. Nadya, a Muscovite, grows tired of her boring office job and goes to Belgrade to unwind and be alone. She doesn't manage to be alone: almost immediately she meets the street juggler Nesha, falls in love with him and, at the same time, with the Serbian way of life. But can two such different people stay together for long? "Danube" is a travel film, a party film, in which the viewer both rushes through the streets of Belgrade after the heroine and reflects on what freedom is — and whether it can be achieved.

"Danube" was filmed in 2020, when Russian-speaking people in Belgrade were still a novelty to the locals. And yet many of the situations Nadya finds herself in are still very recognizable.

After the screening, director Lyuba Mulmenko will talk about the work on the film and answer questions from the audience.
