At a Private Celebration

In an upscale restaurant, six people gather at the invitation of mutual friends, a married couple of lawyers. None of the guests knows the reason for the gathering or who the other guests are. During this mysterious evening, it will turn out that they are actually ex-spouses and that the lawyer couple, who divorced them all, gathered them to try to mend their broken relationships.

Private Celebration is a romantic comedy about middle-aged people who are financially secure, seemingly have it all, but are still not happy. They face the same emotional and essential life problems as “ordinary guests.” They are troubled by jealousy, hurt by betrayal and vanity, and are afraid to communicate their emotions honestly so as not to be hurt, abandoned, pitied, or excluded from society. This is a story about the absurd chaos we can create from our relationships.
