A century ago, the Russian avant-garde took art to a new level — and women played an important role in this. On March 8 at Auditoria, we will talk about women who were at the center of the avant-garde movement.
How does a musician become an artist? What will a critic write about an independent woman in art? How does the world change when a woman asserts herself in art?
🗣Art historian, curator, and art critic Daria Plaksieva will conduct an interactive lecture on the Amazons of the avant-garde. We will explore the worlds of nine female artists, try to see through their contemporaries' eyes, and discuss how their art changed the perception of a woman's role in art.
