Series of meetings with a canine behaviorist at Auditorium

It's hard to imagine a more dog-friendly city than Belgrade (if you don't think about public transport!). Here a dog, as a full-fledged friend of a person, can be seen not only on walks in the park but also in cafés, shops, and beauty salons — a dog accompanies its owner in all their activities. But how comfortable is life in a big city for a dog, really? And is what’s convenient for us always suitable for them?

Auditorium is launching a series of meetings about dogs, their behavior, and living together with humans. Every two weeks we'll get together over tea, listen to short lectures by a canine behaviorist, discuss pressing questions, and share experiences.

Topic of the first meeting: 'A Dog's Life in the City', in which we'll discuss:

• 🐾 City or countryside: how a dog's life differs in urban and rural environments, and the pros and cons of each option.
• 🐾 When natural species-typical behavior becomes a problem: why what is normal for a dog can be problematic for the dog and those around it in the city.
• 🐾 The ideal urban dog: how we imagine it and what it actually needs for well-being.
• 🐾 Is city life suitable for every dog? Can the urban environment be too challenging for a particular dog?
• 🐾 How to make a dog's life more comfortable: taking its needs into account, reducing stress, and finding solutions that work for both the pet and the owner.

After a short lecture

After a short lecture there will be an opportunity to discuss your own situations, ask questions, share concerns, and work with the canine behaviorist to find solutions.

Presenter

The session will be led by: Tatyana Vereshchagina — a professional canine behaviorist and specialist in dog behavior. Tatyana completed a course in zoo-psychology at the School of Applied Ethology and received her canine specialist education at the University of Modern Cynology.
