Winter City Camp by Lumos: Five Senses

In this shift, we invite you to rediscover the world

It would seem that what could be easier than watching and listening? But shift the focus to one of the senses, and familiar things will take on new colors.

The program includes:

• Hearing: we will listen to recordings of disappearing sounds and old records. We will discuss why the familiar noises of the past are becoming a thing of the past. We will make our own musical instruments so that there is always fun at home.
• Smell: we will make our own solid perfumes. We will prepare a dessert that will bring us together at the table with its aroma. At the end of the day, we will go on a quest for smells from different corners of the planet.
• Taste: we will explore our love of sweets and find out why it is so difficult to give them up. We will have a cooking competition and experiment with molecular cuisine.
• Touch: What would happen if we were blind for 40 minutes? We will find out in the quest "The World by Touch." We will create a painting whose beauty can be understood by touch. And at the end of the day, we'll go to the pixel block to let off some steam.
• Sight: we'll look at the world through the eyes of animals and put together a collage based on their perception. We'll organize a film club to discuss the cartoon "Soul" and learn to look for details in paintings.
