About the band:
The band was formed in 1993 in Priština and has gone through several incarnations since then. As the founder Bratislav Radovanović Braca says, "The only common thread among us is the passion for music and the great friendship that has connected us all these years." Their music is difficult to place in one genre as their instrumentals are rich in jazz, rock, and experimental sounds with a noticeable influence of film music. They released their debut album "Peninsula" in 2012 under the SKC Kragujevac label, and a year later their second album, "Drnch" (for Mascom Records). After a short break, at the end of 2016, their third album, "3 Keys", followed. Fish In Oil have participated in many festivals such as the "Ring Ring Festival", the "Belgrade Jazz Festival", the "Jazz Festival Inđija", and more. The members of this band are well-known Serbian musicians. Saxophonist Dušan Petrović is the leader of the "Menson Benson Sextet", "Coxless Pair", and a member of several Belgrade bands like "Eyesburn" and "Playboy", etc. Bassist Branislav Radojković is a member of the world music band "Naked" and the leader of the jazz trio "Tzotzoonga". Drummer Fedja Franklin is a member of "Coxless Pair", "Menson Benson Sextet", and works as a session jazz drummer.
