La Femme, "Probably the biggest French rock band at the moment" according to the cult portal Pitchfork, will perform at the Belgrade Youth Center on May 22, 2024.
Unusual and catchy band La Femme, which is far from an "ordinary" band. It was founded by keyboardist Marlon Magnée and guitarist Sacha Got over 10 years ago. They have 5 albums behind them, and they became famous with the song "Où va le monde" from the second album "Mystère", while the latest album "Paris-Hawaii" was released in May 2023.
They come from the south of France, namely from the city of Biarritz, which is located on the border with Spain, so for this reason, their songs often include French and Spanish. In addition to language, the rhythm and mood in their performances are constantly changing. Some parts are humorous, others serious, sometimes slow, and then fast in the next moment.
The unmissable weirdness will lead you through a myriad of intertwined genres. From jazz to punk, from country to funk, all mixed with psychedelic rock, it will make you shake and unleash your twisted side.
