Aladdin's Magical Lamp

The Boško Buha Theater presents a play for children called "Aladdin's Magical Lamp".

The adaptation of the famous British children's author Nicholas Stuart Gray's story about Aladdin was performed at the Boško Buha Theater in 1975 (directed by Paolo Madzheli) and in 2007 (directed by Milan Karadžić). This is the third encounter with the story that focuses on the growth of a small street thief from Baghdad, Aladdin.

In this version, Aladdin is not quite inclined to use the services of the Genie from the magic lamp. He is aware that the only way to grow up and to be taken seriously by his surroundings (especially the Princess) is to do something entirely on his own. The message to the young viewer: life is further guided by decisions and actions for which we are personally responsible. Therefore, the Genie for Aladdin is not a great force behind which he hides, but a teacher and friend. Aladdin eventually wins the Princess - thanks to his determination and courage.
