Description
Architecture and Modeling. Ages 9–13
About the Course
In class, children design and create their own architectural structures: they come up with an idea, develop a design, work with form and scale, build models, and finally present and defend their projects.
They use paper, cardboard, wooden sticks, foil, and other materials in their work.
Hands-on activities help develop spatial thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to come up with their own design solutions.
The theoretical part of the course focuses on architecture from different eras and countries. Children learn about historical structures and modern buildings, study architectural styles and movements, and examine the works of famous architects.
The course is taught by architect and designer Elena Karnaushenko.
