About the play
This is a play about two pure souls, Vanya and Vera, who decide to be born on Earth in human form. Before that they invent a password so they won’t forget each other in life — old oak. A talking bulldog, childhood, school, childlike naivety and adult bitterness, recognition across the years, fear, despair — and the question of whether they can forgive each other for everything that happened and everything that didn’t happen while they were human.
Description
A tender, sometimes funny and truly dramatic story about how being born and loving is always frightening, but there is no other way.
Performers
Read by the actors of "Not Bad Theater" — a Russian-speaking troupe of relocated artists whose “The Mousetrap” and “The Restless Spirit” in Belgrade and Novi Sad were seen by more than 800 people. The reading is moderated by Evgenia Kiseleva herself.
