Half a century ago the philosopher Guy Debord wrote that modern culture increasingly asks us to be spectators rather than participants. We watch, consume, evaluate, but less and less intervene and create together.

Later, artists and activists called one form of such intervention Culture Jamming. If public space is filled with ready-made symbols, images, songs and slogans, they can be not only consumed but also reclaimed, reinterpreted and used in new ways. Not silently following familiar scripts, but creating our own!

On this evening our usual karaoke format will turn into a space where participation matters more than skill. Here a song becomes a means of expression, strangers turn into a choir, and there's no room for the fear of sounding loud, off-key, silly or overly sincere.

We want to create a Culture Jamming space where everyone can take the place of a participant rather than a spectator, to feel that every voice matters and that we are not alone.
