Panel discussion on the mechanisms underlying the development of addiction in adults and adolescents, warning signs, the role of loved ones, and rehabilitation options.

Participants

• Oleg Vinogradov — neurologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, and president of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Society for Evidence-Based Neurology.” He will discuss how addictions develop at the level of neurotransmitters and why they are so difficult to overcome.
• Anastasia Kuznetsova — child and school psychologist, play therapist. She will discuss neurodifferences, the needs of adolescents, and the causes of risky behavior.
• Denis Makarovsky — psychologist, Ph.D. in Philosophy, program director at the MonteRehab rehabilitation center. He will discuss early-onset addictions, warning signs, and the rehabilitation process.
• Olena Zamkova — IB DP art teacher, curator, and art therapist. She will share her personal experience as the parent of an addicted teenager and discuss the role of creativity and art therapy in the recovery process.
