🦈 “Lords of the Depths” — Sharks and Rays of the Adriatic Sea

One of the most popular exhibitions from the Natural History Museum of Montenegro is coming to Berane after stops in Podgorica, Kotor, Belgrade, and Kranj, Slovenia. The exhibition “Gospodari dubina — ajkule i raže Jadranskog mora” (“Lords of the Depths—Sharks and Rays of the Adriatic Sea”) introduces visitors to the inhabitants of the Adriatic.

The exhibition features more than 20 authentic museum specimens of sharks and rays collected in Montenegro, as well as models, photographs, and modern educational materials. The main exhibit is a full-scale model of a great white shark. The exhibition was first presented at the Natural History Museum of Montenegro in Podgorica, where it was visited by more than 10,000 people.

• The exhibition was created by Stefan Ralević, curator of the Prirodnjački muzej Crne Gore, and Dr. Ilija Četković of the Institute of Marine Biology at the University of Montenegro.
• The project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro.
