Exhibition Freedom 250, by Momira Bulovića, presents a carefully selected body of works, oil on canvas, that question the symbols of American identity — not as fixed historical facts, but as living, changeable constructs whose meaning depends on time, place and the observer. Instead of a linear historical narrative, the exhibition offers a fragmented, multilayered view of America as an idea.

The works of Momira Bulovića do not represent America as a geography, but as an iconographic system — a set of historical, political and cultural symbols that are at once universal and open to reinterpretation. Through motifs of historical figures, national symbols, cultural references and technological achievements, the exhibition opens the space between myth and reality, between idealized freedom and its real burden.

Freedom 250 is not a retrospective of American history, but its contemporary reinterpretation. Through art, symbols become open to new meanings, and freedom — instead of being defined — becomes a space for reflection. The exhibition is realized in cooperation with Dom omladine of Belgrade and American Resource Center (ARC) on the occasion of marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.
