Screening of François Truffaut's film 'Fahrenheit 451' (1966), adapted from Ray Bradbury's novel of the same name. The screening is timed to coincide with the writer's birthday — August 22, 1920. It is Truffaut's first color film and his only feature shot in English. At the beginning of the film there are no traditional written opening titles — names and credits are read off-screen, reflecting the world of the story in which books are banned.
