About the Show

How did the now-cult TV series “Fleabag” begin? I didn’t know, but it turns out it started with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s one-woman show of the same name, which grew out of a 10-minute sketch. This Friday, the intimate venue on Balkanskaya is hosting another group screening of the performance recording, and once again—the selection is simply excellent.

With her sparkling humor—which borders on the risqué—and piercing candor, Phoebe Waller-Bridge holds the audience in the palm of her hand all by herself, telling the story of a modern woman trying to cope with anxiety, loneliness, and family dramas. The screening will be in the original language (English) with Russian subtitles.
