Meteor Shower: Perseids Night on Avala

On August 8 and 9, an astronomy festival "Kiša meteora: Noć Perseida na Avali / Weekend Under the Stars" will take place at the site by the Avala Tower. ✨🔭

Festival program

• The program includes scientific, musical, and entertainment open-air events.
• In the scientific part of the program, specialists from the Ruđer Bošković Society will give lectures about space and run live broadcasts.
• Professional telescopes will also be set up on site so anyone who wishes can observe the meteor shower.
• In the musical program Irina Ognevich and the dance project Swing and roll will perform.
• On Sunday, DJs will play music together with the In Motion studio.
• For children and parents, interactive games, quests, and creative activities will be organized on site by Belgrade museums.
• Over the two days there will also be a food court and a souvenir market on the premises.
• Organizers recommend guests bring blankets or mats for comfortable night-sky viewing. ✨
• Admission to all festival events is free.
