Books on Pillows: The Wind in the Willows

• 11 July "Books on Pillows" outdoors: we will read the fairy-tale novel "The Wind in the Willows" by Scottish writer Kenneth Grahame

📚 "Books on Pillows" is a project for Russian-speaking children 3+ and their parents. The project's goal is to introduce new children's books and to foster a love of reading.

"The Wind in the Willows" is one of the best-known works of English children's classics, written in 1908 and translated into many languages.

It's a story about friendship and a broad outlook on the world, about being kind to yourself and to those around you. The author created these fairy-tale stories for his little son, and only later did they see the world.

The tale will be presented to children by Tatyana Barnyak, an actress of the Saint Petersburg theater group metazero, a theatre teacher and cultural studies specialist with ten years of experience working with literary text and stage speech.
