Concert of Young Pianists Prof. Irene Oparov-Dobrila

In June 2024, Prof. Irena Oparov-Dobrila (Kosta Manojlović Music School in Zemun) retired after 40 years of successful and multiple award-winning pedagogical work. Among other things, she is the recipient of the EPTE Serbia Certificate of Gratitude, the Annual Award of the Community of Music Schools for long-term exceptional pedagogical results, and over 20-time recipient of the Annual Kosta Manojlović Award within the school.

At her initiative, three of her students will perform on this occasion: Saša Opsenica, Vukša Vučetić, and Nemanja Budić, who have continued their education and the friendship built in their shared class.

Biographies

• Saša Opsenica (2005)

  • Graduated from Kosta Manojlović Music School in Zemun, in the class of Prof. Irene Oparov-Dobrila, with the best graduation concert of the school in 2024.
  • Currently studying at the Music Academy in Zagreb, in the class of Prof. Ruben Dalibaltayan.
  • Winner of numerous awards:
    • Third prize at the International Isidor Bajić Memorial in Novi Sad
    • Laureate title at the Republic competition
    • First prize at the Zemun International Music Competition where he performed with UA MO Stanislav Binički.
    • Held a solo concert at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts Gallery in 2024.

• Nemanja Budić (2009)

  • Graduated from the Elementary Music School in the class of Prof. Irene Oparov-Dobrila, as the best graduate and recipient of the Ljubica Marić and Kornelije Stanković awards.
  • Achieved numerous high awards:
    • Laureate of the Republic competition (2022)
    • Republic Competition (2024)
    • Laureate of the Zemun International Music Competition (2022, 2023, 2024)
    • Festival of Music Schools
  • Currently a first-year student at Kosta Manojlović Secondary Music School in the class of Prof. Radojka Ivanović.

• Vukša Vučetić (2008)

  • Recipient of the Ljubica Marić and Kornelije Stanković awards
  • Third prize at the International Competition in Šabac (2024)
  • Second-year student at Kosta Manojlović Secondary Music School in the class of Prof. Radojka Ivanović.
