The Body Meets the City

Movement workshop with Katya Volkova

In this movement workshop we will explore how our bodies meet the city. We will begin with a gentle warm-up and simple partner exercises to tune into sensations and connect with each other. Then participants, in duets, will explore selected fragments of the urban landscape, listening to how surfaces, rhythms, and architecture affect our movement and state.

Together we will ask: how can we experience the city in new ways, and who do we become when we move through it with attention and care?

The walk will start from KP Workshop and continue through the city center.

Katya Volkova is an interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, and dancer. In her practice she explores communal situations, social landscapes, and embodied ways of communicating. She lives and works in Berlin.
